The Results of 40th year of the International Radio Competition for Young Musicians Concertino Praga 2006
The jury sitting took place on February 19 & 20, 2006 in Prague. The jurors listened in total 23 recording of chamber ensembles: Duo (9), Trio (8), Quartet (2) and Quintet (4). The Candidates sent their recording from different countries: Czech Republic (5x), Ukraine (4x), Germany (3x), Canada (2x), Bulgaria (2x), Russia (2x), Hungary (1x), Serbia - Montenegro (1x), Poland (1x), Netherlands (1x) and Latvia (1x).

The Helena Karásková prize was awarded to duo Jakub Junek and Ivan Vokáč. This prize (named after decedent founder of the competition) acquires the most successful ensemble and is given by Minister of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic.
All prize winners are awarded the title "Prize-winner of the Concertino Praga 2007".
The first prize winners will perform at Gala concert on Saturday 17, 2006 in Rudolfinum in Prague and at South Bohemia festival Concertino Praga during June 19 - 23, 2006. The Gala Concert will be live broadcasted by Czech Radio 3 - Vltava and deferred by Czech television. This concert will be offered to EBU (European Broadcasting Union) and will be broadcasted in season Euro Radio 2006-2007 by its members in different countries.
